The characteristic checkered patterns adorn the sleeves and shoulders as usual, but their design is adapted to a special highlight of the kit: the embossed city map of Mainz, which extends across the front and back. On the chest, the main sponsor Kömmerling's logo in white, along with the JAKO logo and the Mainz 05 club crest, are prominently displayed. The JAKO and Mainz 05 logos are framed in gold, matching the golden JAKO dots on the shoulders.
