Augsburg is Fuggerstadt – and still is today! With an exclusive special jersey, we honor one of the most defining eras of the city’s history, bridging the time of the Fuggers and the Renaissance to the present day. The jersey’s surface is fully adorned with the lily crest of the Fugger family. The crest itself and the sponsor logos, in an elegant copper tone, pay homage to the copper trade that the Fugger family, especially under Jakob Fugger, expanded across Europe. The collar and cuffs feature deliberate color accents: pink references the ceiling frescoes of the burial chapel in St. Anna, while blue and yellow represent the Fugger family’s coat of arms colors. Burgundy and dark green connect to the FCA club colors. The Fugger crest is displayed on the nape, and on the back, the text “FUGGERSTADT” replaces the usual “FC Augsburg” designation.
