Looking at our Kogge’s new third kit will likely stir strong emotions in many Hansa fans. This new jersey is designed in the style of the 1998/99 season, recalling the legendary Bundesliga survival on May 29, 1999, in Bochum. Back then, our lads secured their place in the top flight in the literal last second, with goals from the iconic Victor Agali, Oliver Neuville, and Slawomir Majak sealing a 3:2 win. This match is undeniably one of the most pivotal moments in the club’s history and holds cult status.
Similarly, the kits from that season are highly prized by collectors and cherished by many Hansa fans. To mark the 25th anniversary of this milestone, we’re re-releasing this design and, together with our kit supplier “Mizuno,” presenting it as the third kit for the current season.
The kit features red and navy colors, reimagining the original design with a modern twist. The white cuffs on the sleeves and subtle stripe embossing add a premium, elegant touch. And of course, this special piece wouldn’t be complete without the number 1965 on the nape.
