Many Hansa fans are likely to feel a surge of emotion when they look at our Kogge's new away jersey. The new jersey, designed in the style of the 1998/99 season, commemorates the legendary Bundesliga relegation victory on May 29, 1999, in Bochum. Back then, our team managed to stay in the top flight at literally the last second, with the legendary Victor Agali, Oliver Neuville, and, last but not least, Slawomir Majak scoring the goals in the 3-2 victory. This match is undoubtedly one of the most important events in the club's history and enjoys cult status.
The same applies to the jerseys from that season, which are not only highly sought after by collectors but also make the hearts of many Hansa fans beat faster. And precisely for this 25th anniversary, we're reissuing this uniform and, together with our supplier, Mizuno, are presenting this version as the alternate jersey for the current season.
The jersey is red and navy, reinterpreting the design of that era in a modern way. The white cuffs on the sleeves and the light stripe embossing give the jersey a high-quality and elegant touch. And of course, the number 1965 on the neck is a must for this very special piece of fabric.
